California Nurses Association President Deborah Burger Available for Comment on Schwarzenegger Health Plan Monday

Deborah Burger, RN, President of the California Nurses Association, will be available for comment immediately after Gov. Schwarzenegger's speech on healthcare this Monday at the speech location, and at a media availability at the CNA offices in Sacramento at 2 p.m. that same day.

What: CNA President Media Availability on Schwarzenegger Healthcare Plans
When: Monday January 8th, 2 p.m.
Where: CNA Sacramento, 1107—9th St., Ste. 900

CNA has long advocated for a universal, single-payer healthcare plan as the only affordable and fair way to ensure that every patient receives a single standard of high-quality care.  Governor Schwarzenegger vetoed just such a plan, Sen. Sheila Kuehl's SB 840, last year.

Representing some 70,000 RNs in 45 states, the California Nurses Association/National Nurses Organizing Committee is the largest and fastest-growing association of direct-care RNs in the nation.
